When HA Doesn't Seem to Work Millions of people have found relief from pain using all-natural Hyaluronic Acid (HA), the body's own mechanism to reduce swelling, inflammation and pain. But in my conversations with people, I've met some who say that they tried it and were not helped. As I asked additional questions, I learned some of the reasons why people may not get the results they expect from using HA.
If it's true that HA is in every cell of the body, in every mammal, and if it's true that for various reasons including age and illness we stop making enough to live pain free, then why doesn't replacing HA work for some people? The answer is simply that HA must get into the bloodstream in order to work. We can replace HA by several methods, including injection, topically, and orally/mucosally.
Many who've tried HA in pill form did not experience significant pain relief. Oral HA must bond to a special 'receptor' called the CD44 in order to get into the bloodstream. There are CD44 receptors in most parts of the body including the mouth, throat, esophagus, almost every cell EXCEPT in the stomach and intestines. A pill bypasses every location where it could be effective and ends where it can't work at all. Additionally, any HA that is released in the stomach is broken down by the acid into such small pieces that they are not effective.
An oral gel held in the mouth for at least 10 seconds lets the HA move through the mucous membranes of the mouth and directly into the bloodstream where it can help support joints and, eventually via metabolism, break down into a very powerful form of Glucosamine, about 500 times more bioavailable than Glucosamine pills can offer.
Another thing that may reduce the effectiveness of HA is improper use. Sometimes people apply the oral or topical products only once a day. It is important to keep a steady supply of HA going into the body. When people applied it morning and night or used the oral morning and night, results were far more positive.
We're learning that people with a history of Lyme Disease sometimes don't get relief. It turns out that Lyme Disease goes into the cellular level within a few weeks of the initial infection. If antibiotic treatment is not continued long enough to rid the body of Lyme Disease, the bacteria can prevent effectiveness of the use of HA. Special in-depth tests can rule out this hidden condition. The standard test does not reflect that the bacteria is still present.
So why would people who've tried other brands of HA tell me they did not have good results? The reason could be found in what we now know about HA and how it works. Some HA preparations say they have massive amounts of HA and claim they have the highest levels, but the truth is that you must have a specific, high molecular weight of HA. Those who claim high amounts of HA are using a lower molecular weight and a lower concentration. Research is showing that the wrong molecular weight can actually be harmful and have the opposite effect, increasing inflammation and swelling rather than reducing it.
Grandma's Gel products contain the highest possible concentration of high molecular weight of HA. Period. That's because Grandma's Gel products are formulated by the person who synthesized HA, created the injectable form, and holds the patents on the topical and oral forms. Dr. Brown discovered that the large HA molecule can go through the skin using tiny amounts of essential oils. That resulted in the topical liquid, topical cream, and the new topical gel forms of HA. You will not find this strength and correct concentration of HA in any other products. You can trust Grandma's Gel. We guarantee it! | |
